Maude Irene Goodrich, 94, of Murray, died at the Chariton Manor Nursing Home on Monday, November 2. Services were held Wednesday, November 4 at the Murray Methodist Church with the Rev. Jim Hampton officiating. Interment was in Fields Cemetery, Truro.

Maude Irene Goodrich was born June 1, 1887 in St. Charles, Iowa, daughter of John M. Killman and Josephine Finney. She was married to Elmer D. Goodrich, October 31, 1906 in Osceola. Thirteen children were born to this union.

She lived her entire life in the Truro and Murray area, moving to Murray in 1950. She was a member of the Murray Methodist Church.

Survivors include sons, John of Mena, Arkansas, Ray of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Mack of Mesa, Arizona, daughters, Mrs. Opal Smith of Osceola, Mrs. Dorothy Rolfe of Portland, Oregon, Mrs. Clara Wilburn of Agency and Mrs. Pegg Paschall of Des Moines, several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, two daughters, four sons, four sisters and three brothers.

Transcription note: Madison County birth records show that the last name is Killam. The Field cemetery is in Clarke County, 5 miles south of Truro.
