FLORENCE JONES DIES AT 77 YEARS

Madison County Resident Most of Life; Services This Monday

Mrs. Arthur Jones of Winterset died last Friday, April 2, at Memorial hospital in Winterset after an extended illness. She was 77 years of age.

Mrs. Jones was a resident of Madison county most of her life. She was born here Oct. 26, 1887. She was the former Florence Jones, daughter of Elijah and Mary C. Ross Jones. She was married at Winterset on Jan. 14, 1909 to Arthur Jones, who survives her.

She was a member of the First Methodist church of Winterset.

In addition to her husband, she leaves three sons Glen H. Jones of Prole, Robert E. Jones of Memphis, Tenn., and Gene Jones of Elkhart; a daughter, Mrs. George Cummins of Garner, 11 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and a sister, Mayme Jones of Winterset.

Funeral services were held Monday from the Wilson Funeral home in Winterset, conducted by the Rev. John C. Porath, pastor of the First Methodist church here. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
