West Des Moines

Marie J. Conners, 85, of 932 Ashworth Road, West Des Moines, died of a stroke Thursday at lowa Methodist Medical Center. Services will be at 10 a.m. today at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, of which she was a member. Burial will be at Resthaven Cemetery.

Mrs. Conners was born in Booneville and had lived in West Des Moines all her life. She was a retired beautician and a member of Armstrong Employee Retiree Organization.

She is survived by her husband, Kenneth; two sons, Ron Forret of West Des Moines and Ken of Overland Park, Kan.; a daughter, Colleen Halby of Las Vegas; a brother, Vincent King of Urbandale; a sister, Winifred Hoover of Spring Hill; and five grandchildren.

The family will greet friends an hour prior to services today at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central lowa, her church or lowa Health Foundation for Parkinson's Education.
