RITES MONDAY FOR LOIS BANTA

Services for Mrs. Lois Banta, 52, of 3900 Forty-ninth st., will be at 1 p. m. Monday at the Westover Funeral Home. Burial will be at Resthaven Cemetery.

Mrs. Banta died at Northwest Hospital Friday night of cancer after a two-year illness. She was born in Winterset and moved to Des Moines in 1934. She was a secretary at Taylors Department Store for 22 years before her retirement in 1960, and attended the First Federated Church.

Surviving are her husband, Keith; a daughter, Linda, 15, at home; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred R. Jones of Winterset; and three sisters, Mrs. Pauline Bulwan of Des Moines, Mrs. Maxine Wilson of St. Charles and Mrs. Winnie Mahan of Winterset.

The family asks that any contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
