The Register’s Iowa News ServiceAVON LAKE, IA. - Harold L. Leeper, 69, of Avon Lake died of cancer Saturday at home. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Richardson Funeral Home in Carlisle. Burial will be in the Avon Cemetery.
Born in Earlham, Mr. Leeper lived in Avon Lake for 38 years. He had been general foreman in shipping at Armstrong Tire Co. An Army veteran of World War II, he was a board member of Clearwater Lake Corp.
He is survived by his wife, Darlene; two daughters, Denise Leeper of Avon Lake and Sandra Morton of Kansas City, Mo.; three sons, Michael and David, both of Norwalk, and Robert of Pomona, Calif.; two sisters, Irene Clague of Earlham and Ruby Robinson of Winterset; two brothers, Richard of Carlisle and Russell of Earlham; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Friends may call after 9 a.m. today at the funeral home, where the family will be present from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Mercy Hospice.
