MAXINE THOMPSON

Maxine Thompson, 83, of the 400 block of 59th Street died of a respiratory ailment Monday at Hospice Kavanagh House. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Glendale Cemetery.

Mrs. Thompson was born in Madison County and had lived In the Des Moines area since 1952. She was a retired executive secretary with the Iowa Department of Revenue and a member of West Des Moines Christian Church.

She is survived by three stepdaughters, Marsha Wright of Omaha, Jackie Tinker of Altoona and Marilyn Hamby of Des Moines; a sister, Edna Taylor of Winterset; six grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, William.

Friends may call after 3 p.m. today at Dunn's Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Iowa or her church.
