Kyle Richard Kieler

Kyle Richard Kieler was born February 7, 1988 to Rick and Kathy (Bussanmas) Kieler in Des Moines, and passed away peacefully on July 6, 2019. He was 31 years old.

He attended Martensdale St. Mary’s schools and completed the Heating, Ventilation and Cooling (HVAC) program at Des Moines Area Community College. He was a dedicated employee at Bussanmas Heating and Cooling for the last 13 years.

While Kyle was known to have a stubborn streak, he would do anything for his friends and family. He loved to spend time with his grandparents, Jerry and Alice Bussanmas, spending hours helping with projects and finding any excuse to drive the skid loader.

Kyle was a lover of many things, including, but not limited to anything Iowa Hawkeyes, Rugby and the New Zealand All Blacks, going to races at the Newton Speedway with his parents, taking on home improvement projects at his sister's house, and riding horses with his aunt.

He loved the water, spending time fishing and relaxing by the lake or river. He was known to spend weekends kayaking with friends.

He was a creative mind, dreaming up projects, including, recently developing plans to build his own home.

Kyle loved his family and friends more than anything, and they will miss him dearly. Over the last year, Kyle fell in love with the role of being an uncle to his niece Gavi. They loved each fiercely.

Kyle will be lovingly remembered by his parents; his sister Ashlee Kieler (Grady Martin); niece, Gavi; grandparents Jerry and Alice Bussanmas; his dogs Zeus and Judge; aunts and uncles Pam (Harold) Seymour, Jerry (Nichole) Bussanmas, Bret (Becky) Bussanmas, Lauretta (Guy) Kaplan, Betty Kieler and Nancy Kieler; cousins, Bill, Brenda, Bryan, Nick, Jordan, Tori, Zoe, Ellie, Jae, Parks, Emily, Margaret, Elizabeth, John, Mike, Susan, Deb, Doug and Bob, as well as a number of second cousins and friends.

Kyle is preceded in death by his grandparents, Hildreth and Kenneth Kieler and uncles Bill, Mike, Tom, and Larry Kieler.
