Winterset ChapelMarla Allsup, 63, of Van Meter passed away on August 22, 2019 at her home.
A visitation will be held 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., Monday August 26, 2019 at Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home, Winterset Chapel, with family receiving friends during this time. A funeral service will immediately follow at 6:00 p.m. Memorials may be directed to the family for a later designation. Online condolences can be left at caldwellparrish.com.
Marla Joanne Allsup, daughter of Frank and Doris (Siglund) Holland, was born October 5, 1955 in Des Moines, Iowa. She graduated from Earlham High School. She married James Allsup May 15, 1993. Marla worked as a nurse’s aide for many years. She was a member of The Eastern Star.
Marla is survived by her husband, Jim, of Van Meter; her children, James Allsup II of Texas, Matthew John Allsup of Knoxville, and Daniel Joel Allsup of Winterset, Chad William Allsup of Des Moines, Angela Kay Allsup and Joe Allsup of Winterset; brother, Mike Holland of New Mexico; sisters, Mary Rasmussen of Pennsylvania and Gloria Pritchett of Missouri; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Doris.
Cremation will follow the service with interment in the Earlham Cemetery at a later date.
