Carl Hult, a Swede, who lived at Dexter, Iowa, had the toothache the other day, and drank some alcohol to cure it. This failing, he went to a dentist, who gave him chloroform, tried to pull the tooth, and failed. He then took Hult home and gave him some more chloroform and left him. Hult died in his bed.

Transcriber's note: Burial was made in the Old Penn Cemetery, Madison county, Iowa. Nothing more has been found.
