Charles Chapman Dies in Earlham

Charles. J. Chapman, recently of Winterset, died last Friday, Jan. 8, at the Earlham nursing home. He was 86 years of age.

Mr. Chapman moved to Winterset 18 months ago from Des Moines, where had had lived for 36 years. He was a retired engineer.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Hazel Lyddon of Winterset, Mrs. Velma Priebe of Des Moines and Mrs. Darlene Pryor of Orient, a son, Harold Chapman of Des Moines, and a sister, Mrs. Mabel Pierce of Perry.

Funeral services were held Tuesday from Southtown Baptist Church in Des Moines, with burial in West Linn cemetery at Linden.
