Clarence Weeks, 85, well known Guymon area resident, died Wednesday evening, March 25, 1992 at St. Anthony's Hospice in Amarillo, Texas.

The son of W.J. and Elsie Weeks, he was born April 20, 1906 in Winterset, Iowa. Being baptized in the Eula Christian Church north of Guymon, he later moved his membership to the Trinity Lutheran Church in Guymon. After attending Pleasant Plains Grade School and Goodwell High School, he attended Oklahoma State University in Stillwater.

Mr. Weeks farmed in the Pleasant Plains area for many years and was instrumental in organizing the No Man's Land Senior Citizens Center in Guymon.

He married Esther West, May 5, 1976 in Guymon.

Survivors include his wife, Esther of Hansford Manor in Spearman, Texas; four children, Bob Weeks and his wife Carol of Vista, Calif., Gene Weeks of Downey, Calif., Don Winter and his wife Bonnie of Guymon and Darlene Mendenhall and her husband Gaylon of Guymon; one brother, Russell Weeks of Guymon; several nieces and nephews including Mrs. John K. (LoRee) Booth of Spearman and Mrs. Tom (Phyllis) Stephens of Guymon; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and a brother.

Funeral services are pending and will be announced by the Henson Funeral Home of Guymon.

A Clarence Weeks Memorial has been established for the Hansford Hospice in Spearman, Texas, No Man's Land Senior Citizens Center or the Trinity Evangelistic Lutheran Church, both in Guymon. Memorials will be accepted at the Henson Funeral Home, Box 1306, Guymon, Okla. 73942.

The Week's family will welcome friends at the home of Gaylon and Darlene Mendenhall, 6048 Sunset Drive.
