Brenda Little, 67, of West Des Moines died Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.

There are no services planned at this time. Memorials can be directed to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, Iowa Office (3925 Fountains Dr. #100, Cedar Rapids, Iowa 52411).

Brenda Sue Little, daughter of Andrew and Aurilla (Rudd) Walker, was born December 27, 1951 in Des Moines. She attended schools in the Winterset area and graduated from Winterset High in 1970. Brenda was united in marriage with Dennis Little on March 7, 1970 in Winterset and three children were born to this union.

Brenda worked as a nurse’s aide in various nursing homes in Winterset, Ames and Indianola. She was an avid reader and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles. She loved raising her children and cherished the time being a grandmother and great grandmother. Above all else, she was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend who will be greatly missed.

Brenda is survived by her husband of 48 years, Dennis Little of West Des Moines; three children, Brett Little of West Des Moines; Jeannette (Eric) Haub of Dayton; Derek (Betsy) Little of Winterset; four grandchildren, Ryan Pye; Mason Forst; Summer Little; Jaxx Little; two great grandchildren, Demian Pye and Ronin Pye; siblings, Sheryl (Richard) Henley of Peru; Larry (Michelle) Walker of Opapka, FL; brother-in-law, Mick Waddingham; nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Aurilla Walker; brother, Mark Walker and sister, Marlene Waddingham.
