Callie May German (1923 - 2019)

Callie May German, 95, passed away January 2, 2019 at the home of her daughter, Maxine German, in Rock Hill SC.

With respect to her wishes, no services will be held at this time. Cremation rites have been held.

Born on May 10, 1923 in Madison County IA, she was the daughter of Guy and Inez (Holland) Adams. She graduated from Winterset High School with the class of 1941. On March 11, 1943, she was united in marriage to the love of her life, Gerald German, in Lubbock TX. They made their home in Patterson IA for many years. After retiring, they made their home in summer months in Melrose IA and the winter months in Arizona. After Gerald's death in 2005, she shared her time living with her daughters Ginger in Iowa and Maxine in South Carolina. Callie (May) will be fondly remembered for her love of family, camping and her quiet and gentle personality.

Left to mourn her loss are her children: Maxine (Richard Enniss) German of Rock Hill SC, Donald (Susan) German of Peru IA, David (Sharon) German of Colo IA, Linda Sloan, and Ginger (Steve) Jacobson of Melrose IA, six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and her sister Lila Kilmer and sister-in-law Ruby Adams, both of Winterset IA.

In her death she has rejoined her husband Gerald, her son Gary German, her granddaughter Michelle German, sister Agatha Norgar and brothers Clayton, Milo and Loyd Adams. Parker Funeral Home Entrusted.
