December 2018Marsha Bradbury, 66, of Winterset died Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at her home. A visitation will be held from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., Sunday, December 23, at Ochiltree Funeral Service in Winterset with a prayer service to immediately follow beginning at 5:00 p.m. Burial will be held at a later date in the New Rest Haven Cemetery in Gainesville, Texas. Memorials may be directed to the family and online condolences can be left at Ochiltree.com.
Marsha Lynn Bradbury, daughter of Paul and Janet (Johnson) Neeley, was born November 15, 1952 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She graduated from Ygnacio Valley High School in California. Marsha was united in marriage to Billy Ray Hatten, Sr. and one son was born to this union. Billy died in 1974. She was later united in marriage with Del Ray Bradbury on July 19, 1997 in St. Charles.
Marsha loved being a breeding manager on a few ranches during her time in Texas. She also worked at Iowa Select Farms for 12 years. Marsha was a member of the Redeemer Church in Winterset. She was an avid reader of the Bible and horror novels. She was a true animal lover; horses and dogs being some of her favorites.
Marsha loved spending time with her grandchildren and was lovingly known as the “Funny Grandma”, which she adored. She had a knack to get along with almost anyone and acquired lots of friends through her years. Above all else, she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend who cherished the time she spent with her family and friends.
Marsha is survived by her husband, Del Bradbury of Winterset; son, Billy (Jill) Hatten, Jr. of Winterset; three grandchildren, Dillon, Bryce, and Jaycee Hatten; an adopted granddaughter, Daisy Blodgett; extended family and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Janet Neeley; and husband, Billy Ray Hatten, Sr.
