Philip A. Cameron, 90, of Winterset, Iowa, died Thursday, December 20, 2018, at West Bridge Care & Rehabilitation in Winterset. Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM Monday, December 24, 2018, at the First United Methodist Church in Winterset with Pastor Mark Morehouse officiating. Burial will be in the Winterset Cemetery.

Phil was born on June 26, 1928, at Madison County, Iowa to Arthur and Grace (Patton) Cameron. He was married on September 17, 1950 at Stuart, Iowa, to Ruth Mary Shelley. He spent his lifetime in the Madison County area and had been a lifetime farmer. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church.

Phil is survived by his wife, Ruth Cameron of Winterset; children, Darrell (Glennys) Cameron of Winterset, Cheryllynn (Ray) Bricker of Des Moines, Darwin (Cynthia) Cameron of Boise, ID, Douglas Cameron of Kamiah, ID, and Darin (Kimberly) Cameron of Chesterfield, MO; brothers, Rex Cameron of Osceola and Ray Cameron of Apache Junction, AZ; sisters, Margaret Gowin of Altoona, Barbara Lightner of Des Moines, and Beverly Fenimore of Des Moines; several grandchildren; and many great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parent, Arthur and Grace (Patton) Cameron; and brother, Robert Cameron.

Family will receive friends from 9 to 10 AM on Monday at the church prior to the service. Memorials may be directed to the First United Methodist Church or the American Heart Association.
