Leona M. Hartman, 94, formerly of Oelrichs, SD, died Monday, July 18, 1994, at the Southern Hills General Hospital in Hot Springs.
Funeral services were held July 21 at the First Wesleyan Church in Hot Springs with the Rev. Bill Hauck officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery in Hot Springs.
She was born on Oct 9, 1899, in Winterset, Iowa, to Samuel and Clara May (Bruce) Sellers. She moved with the family in 1910 to Mount Vernon. She graduated from Dakota Wesleyan Univ, then moved to Michigan to teach school. Later she moved to Oelrichs to teach.
She married Glen Hartman in 1931. They lived in Oelrichs, Custer and Hot Springs.
Survivors include: her husband, Hot Springs; three sons: Harlan Hartman, Hilt, N.Y.; Cleo Hartman, Sacramento, Calif.; and the Rev. John Hartman, Filmore, NY; one daughter, Mrs. Rex (Shirley) Schreckenghaust, Rapid City; nine grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, three sisters and one grandson.
