Ruby Z. Deremiah, 81, of Fountain West Health Care Center, 1501 Office Park Road, West Des Moines, died of complications of diabetes there Friday. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Westover Funeral Home, with burial at Resthaven Cemetery.

Mrs. Deremiah was born in Peru, Ia., and lived in Des Moines most of her life. She was a supervisor for Boyt Harness Co. during World War II and a member of Town and Country Saddle Club and College Avenue Christian Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Viola Kreider of Des Moines; a sister, Hazel Baker of Lorimor; a brother Martin Emerson of Nevada; six grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 4 to 6 p.m. today at Westover Funeral Home, where the family will be present. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association or to her church.
