E. W. Cummins Rites Saturday

Services for Eric W. Cummins, 69, of 3905 E. Ovid ave., who died Wednesday in Northwest Hospital of kidney complications following a stroke, will be at 9 a. m. Saturday in Hamilton’s Funeral Home. Burial will be in Peru, Ia.

Mr. Cummins was born in Madison County and lived at Winterset before moving to Des Moines 26 years ago. He was a machine operator for the Penn-Dixie Cement Corp. before his retirement in 1964.

He is survived by his wife, Opal; three daughters, Mrs. Doris Jackson and Mrs. Shirley Konchalski of Des Moines and Mrs. Phyllis Daub of Albia; two sons, Kenneth and Richard, both of Des Moines; 22 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
