Harriett Jessup, 100, Dies Sunday

DIAGONAL—Harriett Jessup, who reached her 100th birthday last Feb. 21, died Sunday at the Clearview nursing home in Clearfield. She had been a patient there the past four years.

The widow of Dr. A. E. Jessup of Diagonal, she had been a resident of Diagonal for many years. Dr. Jessup died in 1944.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Ora Payne of Gilroy, Calif., and a son, Rev. Dale Jessup, of Ramona, Calif., nine grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, and 13 great, great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, two daughters, Mrs. Paul Beymer and Dorothy Jessup, and a son, Byron, preceded her in death.

The body is at the Varner funeral home in Diagonal and funeral services are pending.

Harriett Jessup, 100, Dies Sunday

Mrs. Harriett Jessup, 100 passed away at the ClearView Nursing Home in Clearfield where she had been a resident for several months.

Mrs. Jessup observed her 100th birthday on February 21st at the Home in Clearfield and had the pleasure of most all of her family with her.

Mrs. Jessup had been a resident of Diagonal for many years, the widow of Dr. A. E. Jessup who passed away in 1944.

Among those who survive are a daughter, Mrs. Ora Payne of Gilroy, California and a son, Rev. Dale Jessup of Pamona, Calif., nine grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and 13 great, grand children, nieces, nephews and a host of friends, which were numbered by her acquaintances.

She was preceded in death by her husband, two daughters Mrs. Paul (Vera) Beymer and Dorothy Jessup and a son, Byron.

Final rites were pending as we go to press, Tuesday morning.

Mrs. Ora Payne of Gilroy, Calif. has been staying in the home of Mrs. Francis Kleckner to be near her mother, Mrs. Harriet Jessup who passed away at the Clearview Home on Sunday.
