Mrs. Kingery Dies at Mahaska

Mrs. Clara Kingery, 71, passed away Sunday, Feb. 12, 1961 at 5:25 a. m. at the Mahaska Hospital after a short illness.

She was the daughter of Lloyd and Ruth Reed was born May 25, 1889 in Kansas. On December 29, 1908 she was married to R. G. Kingery. To this union 9 children were born. Surviving besides Mr. Kingery are 4 sons, Kenneth of Menlo, Iowa, Harold of Los Angeles, Calif, Max of Corvallis, Oregon, and Robert of Ottumwa, and 5 daughters, Mrs. Russell Kaster of Des Moines; Mrs. Greg Comstock of Eddyville; Mrs. Wilford Brown of Oskaloosa; Mrs. Clifford Sharp of Monterey Park, Calif., and Mrs. Robert McDonough of Des Moines. Also 27 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren and a host of friends and relatives. She also leaves 2 sisters, Mrs. Royal McNelly and Mrs. Edward Branson of Monteith.

She lived a very useful life, was a good neighbor and a very willing helper to anyone who needed it. Mrs. Kingery was an active member of the Christian Bible Study class.

Funeral services were held in the Christian church Wednesday at 2 p. m. with Rev. Don Job, pastor, officiating. Burial was made in Highland cemetery.
