Ruben G. Kingery passed away at the Shanan Nursing Home Nov. 30, 1969 at 1:00 A. M., having been a patient there eight months. He was born Sept. 13, 1886 in Madison County, the son of Ruben G. and Anna R. James Kingery. On Dec. 31, 1907 he was married to Clara Reed. She preceded him in death in 1961. Before retirement he farmed, having been a resident of the Eddyville community the last 24 years.

He is survived by his children: Kenneth of Menlo, Iowa, Harold of Los Angeles, Calif., Max, Corvallis, Ore., Robert of Ottumwa, Dorothy Kaster of Port Isabel, Texas, Verla Comstock of Eddyville, Faye Brown of Oskaloosa, Mae Sharp of Monterey Park, Calif., Betty McDonough of Des Moines; 26 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren, and one brother, Amos Kingery of Afton, Iowa.

Funeral services were held at the Eddyville Christian Church Tuesday, Dec. 2 at 2:00 P. M. with the Rev. Daniel Hall officiating. Interment was made in Highland Cemetery in Eddyville with the Eddyville Funeral Chapel in charge of arrangements.
