Former Lorimor man died at 73

LORIMOR – Edson Porter, 73, of Colfax died Monday at the hospital in Newton. He had the flu. Formerly of Lorimor, Mr. Porter was the son of the late Andrew and Henrietta Porter of Lorimor.

He is survived by a son, grandchildren, and two sisters, Mrs. Annis Henderson of Kellerton, Mrs. Alma Trachel of Newton, and a brother, Lee Porter of Adel.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Walter funeral home in Colfax. Burial will be at the Lorimor cemetery. It is possible the burial will take place about 2:30 or 2:45 p.m.
