Lived in Iowa City for 30 Years; Funeral on Wednesday
Mrs. Frank Kinney, Sr., passed away at a local hospital, after an illness of five weeks, Sunday eve at 5 o’clock. The funeral will be held Wednesday morning at 10:30 from the Methodist church.
Surviving are her husband, one daughter Nelle of Davenport, and three sons, Frank Jr., Iowa City; Fred, Cedar Rapids; and Ralph at home.
Mrs. Kinney was in her sixty-fifth year. She was born in Winterset and came to Iowa City from Avoca, 30 years ago. During the last three decades she has won a host of friends in Iowa City. She was a devout member of the Methodist church, and one of the earnest and successful workers in the second division of the Ladies Aid society of that institution.
In church circles and elsewhere where ever she was known, she was esteemed highly as a good Christian woman; a devoted wife and mother and a true friend.
