FRANK KINNEY PASSES AWAY

Death Comes After Long Illness; Resident Here 42 Years

Mr. Frank S. Kinney, 80, of 630 Walnut street, a resident of Iowa City for the last 42 years, passed away at 9 o’clock Tuesday evening at University hospital, following a 14 months illness.

He was born in Shelbyville, Ind., November 22, 1852, and came to Iowa in 1876. After residing in Madison county he came to Iowa City 42 years ago where he has since resided.

Surviving are three sons, Mr. Frank and Mr. Ralph Kinney of Iowa City and Mr. Fred Kinney of Cedar Rapids, one daughter, Miss Nelle Kinney of Iowa City, two sisters, Miss Pearl Kinney of Shelbyville, Ind., and Mrs. Belle Dehner of Hollywood, Calif., and six grandchildren. His wife preceded him in death nine years ago.

Funeral service will be held at 10:30 o’clock Friday morning at the Harmon funeral home and burial will be in Oakland cemetery.
