WINTERSET—A funeral for Shirley Annette Jones, 81, of Winterset was held Feb. 23, 1988 at the First United Methodist Church here. Mrs. Jones died at her home on Feb. 20. Burial was in the Hillcrest Cemetery at Moravia.

Born at Molville on Nov. 27, 1916, she was the daughter of George M. and Avis Nina Creekmur Talbott. She married Donald Jones at Moravia on June 12, 1945. She had lived at Winterset for one and one-half years, and lived in Fenton prior to that. She was a retired teacher, nurse’s aide and a homemaker, and she was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Winterset and United Methodist Women.

She was preceded in death by a son, Larry, and her parents.

Survivors include her husband, the Rev. Donald Jones of Winterset; two daughters, Linda Armstrong of Van Meter and Donna Jones of Willow Springs, Mo.; two sons, Don of Akron and Art of Fairmont, Minn.; a sister, Mildred Sellers of Russell; and two grandchildren.
