Page 3, Columns 3 & 4EARLHAM—A funeral for Paul L. Hastie, 66, of Earlham was held Feb. 3, 1988 at the Assembly of God Church at Perry. Mr. Hastie died Feb. 1 of a heart ailment at Mercy Hospital Medical Center at Des Moines. Burial was in the Violet Hill Cemetery at Perry.
He was born May 21, 1921 at Angus, and was the son of Arthur and Victoria Crispin Hastie. He married Maxine Rains on June 28, 1947 in Des Moines. He had lived in Earlham since 1963, moving there from Minburn. He was a retired self-employed beekeeper. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church at Perry.
Mr. Hastie was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, David Hastie, and one infant sister.
Survivors include his wife, Maxine of Earlham; three sons, Bill Hastie of DeSoto, Dennis Hastie of Trimont, Minn., and Michael Hastie of Earlham; a sister, Ruth Klapel of Creston; and five grandchildren.
Memorial contributions in his name may be left at Fouch-Murdock Funeral Home at Perry.
