EARLHAM—A funeral for Naomi M. Stubbs, 86, of Apple Valley, Minn. and formerly of Earlham was held Jan. 20, 1988 at Major Erickson Funeral Home at Mason City. Mrs. Stubbs died Jan. 15 at an Apple Valley nursing home. Burial was in the Memorial Park Cemetery at Mason City.

She was born at Mercer, Mo. on June 7, 1901, and was the daughter of Benjamin and Sarah Bechtel Gannon. When she was young, the family moved to Earlham, where she graduated from high school in 1918. She married Glenn C. Stubbs in March 1921, and they operated a trucking business in Mason City until 1945, and owned and operated the Clarke County Greenhouse in Wayland, Mo. from 1951. Mr. Stubbs died in 1970, and Mrs. Stubbs moved to Mason City in 1980 and to Apple Valley, Minn in 1984.

Mrs. Stubbs was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church at Mason City.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son and a sister.

Survivors include a daughter, Gretchen Van Hoof of Burnsville, Minn.; two sons, Gerald of Ankeny and Charles of St. Louis, Mo.; three sisters, Clarice F Williamson of Mason City, Ruby Olson of Clear Lake and Ruth Smith of Casa Grande, Ariz.; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
