Mrs. Cora Cason Funeral Monday

Mrs. Cora Cason, 83, of 1509 Maple st., died of a stoke Friday at the Woodland Nursing Home. She had been in failing health for 10 years.

A native of Madison County, Mrs. Cason had lived here 50 years. She was a member of the First Evangelical United Brethren Church in Des Moines and the Eastern Star of Baxter.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Hamilton Funeral Home. Burial will be in Glendale Cemetery.

She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Opal McClurkin, and a son, Tolbert, both of Des Moines; two sisters, Mrs. Nellie Stanton of Stuart and Mrs. Bertha Cummings of St. Charles; a brother, Nevin Landers of Winterset; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
