Saturday, November 2, 1991Helen O. Phillips, 78, Overland Park, co-owner of Earl's Hamburgers, died Nov. 1, 1991, in the Americana of Overland Park, 5221 W. 103rd St.
Mrs. Phillips had co-owned the restaurant, known for its annual Salvation Army fund-raisers, since 1944. She was born in Winterset, Iowa, and moved to this area in 1922. Her first husband, Earl Redd, died in 1960.
Survivors include her husband, Howard Phillips of the home; a son, William C. Redd, St. Louis; a sister, Ruth Parker, Kansas City; and two grandchildren. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Mount Moriah & Freeman Chapel; private graveside.
