Donna Jean Moro, 74 of Redfield passed away on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at the Community Care Center in Stuart. Memorial service will begin at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, May 19th at the Redfield Christian Church. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to St. Croix Hospice.
Donna was born on October 29, 1943 to Milton Earl “Mike” and Mable Louise (Dwinell) Haynes in Dexter, Iowa. She attended Dexfield Schools and graduated from Dexfield High School with the class of 1962. On April 8, 1972 she was united in marriage to Matt Moro. She lived in Des Moines, Waukee, Earlham, and lastly settled in Redfield. She spent her working years in the banking and finance industry retiring in 2008. She was President of the Redfield Senior Housing Complex and was also a member of the Redfield Christian Church.
Donna was known for her caring heart and generous spirit. She spent many hours volunteering at the Depot and the American Legion. She also volunteered at Panther Creek Church and Redfield Christian Church where she helped to sew diapers and pack snack sacks and hygiene packs for those in need. Donna loved her time spent in the summer helping with vacation bible school and being in the outdoors. Donna was an avid NASCAR and Iowa State Fair fan, loved traveling, reading, watching T.V., and had a laugh that could bring a smile to anyone. Her most precious time was spent with her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Matt; her brothers Keith and Kenny; and her beloved cat, Muffin.
Donna leaves behind numerous family members and special friends and our “Aunt Donna’s” memory will live on in all of us.
