Agnes Katherine Shonka, 71, died Tuesday afternoon at the Virginia Gay hospital.

She was born Jan. 20, 1897, at Winterset, a daughter of Joseph S. and Frances Cerveny Shonka.

Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Florence Cantrall of Madison Heights, Mich., and Mrs. Frances Pint of Independence; and four brothers, Joe Shonka of Watervliet, Mich., Paul Shonka of Cedar Rapids, Louis Shonka of Independence and Henry Shonka of Madison Heights, Mich.

Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m., Friday at St. Mary’s Catholic church, with Rev. M. L. Scallon officiating. Burial will be in St. John’s cemetery at Independence.

Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m., Wednesday by St. Mary’s Altar and Rosary Society and at 8 p.m., Thursday by the Knights of Columbus.

Friends may call at the Fry and Holland funeral home.
