Lloyd Evertt James of Osceola Leisure Manor, Osceola, died at the Clarke County Hospital in Osceola Wednesday, March 22. Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 25. Rev. Roy Ives conducted the service from the Webster-Kale Funeral Home with interment in the High Point Cemetery in Decatur County, Iowa.
Lloyd Evertt James, 77, was born in Madison County, Earlham, Iowa, the son of William L. and Ollie Jarvis James. He attended the Clarke County Schools and was a farmer. He was affiliated with the Christian Church. He was married to Gladys I. Bailey on November 21, 1921, to Edith Adams Wallace, April 10, 1951 and Rushia Bright on April 11, 1973.
He is survived by his wife, Rushia of Osceola, daughters, Virginia Garner and husband, Lloyd of Osceola, Lois Fortune and husband, Wayne of Allerton; JoAnn Sullivan ad husband, Allen of Weldon, Donna McBroom and husband, Cloyd of Chillicothe, Illinois; step-daughter, Arlene Limieux and husband, Emile Jr. of Warwick, Rhode Island, step-son, Arthur Bright and wife, Corda, Osceola, step-daughter, Verda Wolfe and husband, Donald of Osceola and step-daughter, Doris Kentner and husband, Harold of Osceola. Also 10 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren, 12 step-grandchildren; seven step-great grandchildren, brother, Lawrence D. James and wife, Doris of Osceola, two nephews, Lawrence Jr. James and Donald Eugene James.
He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Gladys in 1949, second wife, Edith, 1971; two grandchildren and one step-granddaughter.
