Frank Gonseth Dies March 21

Funeral services were held Friday, March 24, for Frank B. Gonseth, who died at the Clarke County Hospital in Osceola Tuesday, March 21. Rev. Roy Ives conducted the 11:00 a.m. service from the Webster-Kale Funeral Home.

Frank B. Gonseth, 83, was born August 10, 1894, in Ocharche, Oklahoma, the son of Lewis Samuel and Sophia Marie Louise Crausaz Gonseth. He received his education in the Oklahoma and Madison County schools. March 14, 1914 in Oklahoma, he was united in marriage to Cecil Irene Phillby; then to Grace Wilson Hold on October 4, 1941. He farmed and was a carpenter by trade. He was a member of the Osceola Masonic Lodge #77 and Ophir Chapter of Eastern Star #267. He was affiliated with the Osceola Christian Church.

Surviving relatives include his wife, Grace, of Osceola; daughter, Mrs. Fern Pool and husband, Robert of Osceola; son Morris Gonseth and wife, Lula of Osceola, son, L. S. Gonseth and wife, Barbara of Osceola and son, Frank Gonseth Jr. and wife, Anna Dell of Osceola; 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren, three sisters: Florence Voris of San Francisco, California, Lena Bivins of Locust Grove, Oklahoma and Margerite Jones, Covina, California.

He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Irene in 1925; two children in infancy; one granddaughter; two sisters, Marie and Emma and six brothers, John, Felix, Charles, Louis, Henry, Alex.

Interment was in the Maple Hill Cemetery in Osceola.
