Page 2, Column 3Frances E. Burgus, a former resident of Osceola, died January 8, 1982 in the Phoenix General Hospital, Phoenix, Arizona.
Born and raised in Monroe Township, Madison County, Frances E. Dodd married Harold L. Burgus, a former sheriff of Osceola. She moved to the Phoenix area 35 years ago, receiving her bachelor’s degree from Arizona State University in 1955. She was a member of the Retired Educators Association, the Rebekah Lodge and the Eastern Star.
Survivors include her children, Sandra Willis, Sherry Little, Sonya Head, Sheila Tellier, Stefanie and Stephen; a brother; two sisters and nine grandchildren.
Services were held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 13 at the A.L. Moore and Sons Mortuary.
