Mrs. Della L. Palmer, 69, of 1156 Twenty-fourth st., for 40 years a religious worker at the Polk county jail, died Tuesday at the Johnson Nursing home, 1709 Tenth st.
Mrs. Palmer, who had been in ill health about two years, was born at St. Charles and had lived in Des Moines most of her life. She was a member of Marquisville Evangelical United Brethren church, where her brother, the Rev. O. B. Devine, is pastor.
Surviving besides her brother are a son, Roy of Bloomington; a daughter, Pauline of Des Moines; five other brothers, Floyd and Ed, both of Des Moines; Aubrey of Glendale, Cal., Glenn of Iowa City and John of Truro; two sisters, Mrs. W. W. Wilburg of Fox, Ark., and Mrs. J. M. Moore of Des Moines, and two grandsons.
Services will be at 1:30 p. m. Friday at Hamilton’s funeral home, with burial in Glendale cemetery.
