John Cooper Dies Tuesday

Funeral services were held Thursday, April 21, 1977, for John Henry Cooper, who died at the Veteran’s Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa Tuesday, April 19. Pastor Gerald Thomas conducted the 10:30 a.m. service from the Webster-Kale Funeral Home in Osceola, Iowa.

John Henry Cooper, 38, was born May 23, 1939. His parents are Henry Cooper and Kathryn Cook Thornburg. He attended Madison County Schools and November 14, 1959 was united in marriage to Marjorie Dippold in Martensdale, Iowa. One child was born to this union. Cooper was engaged in farming.

Surviving relatives include his wife, Marjorie of Woodburn; son, John Henry Cooper Jr., at home; seven brothers and 11 sisters; father, Henry Cooper of Melcher Dallas and mother, Kathryn Thornburg of New Virginia, Iowa.

He was preceded in death by one sister.

Interment was in the New Virginia Cemetery, New Virginia, Iowa.
