Caroline Banker Funeral Monday

Funeral services for Caroline Banker of Osceola were held Monday, January 26 at the Webster-Kale Funeral Home, Osceola, Iowa. Rev. George V. Neal of Osceola conducted the 2:00 service with interment in Maple Hill Cemetery, Osceola, Iowa. Mrs. Banker died at the Clarke County Hospital Friday, January 23, 1976.

Cora Caroline Banker, 78, was born February 24, 1897, the daughter of Joseph W. and Leni Leoti Sturman Forney. She received her education in the Madison County Schools. June 1, 1920 she was united in marriage to Joseph N. Banker in Osceola, Iowa.

The couple resided on a farm near Murray until 1945; later moving to Des Moines and from there to San Diego, California and then returning to Osceola. She was a teacher in the Winterset School system and was affiliated with the Calvary Baptist Church at Osceola, Iowa.

Mrs. Banker is survived by two cousins, Mrs. Louise Williams of Belle Fourche, South Dakota and Mrs. Irma Ruston of Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joseph in December 14, 1958.
