Ray Andrew Goodrich, Sr. of Truro, died at the Clarke County Public Hospital in Osceola Tuesday, November 28. Funeral services will be held from the Webster Funeral Home Friday, December 1, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Richard Hempenius of Truro officiating.

Ray Andrew Goodrich Sr. was born July 26, 1890, in Truro, son of John H. Goodrich and Mary L. Gracey Goodrich. He received his education in Clarke and Madison county schools and married Zilpha Wilma Stubbs on July 31, 1914. Twelve children were born to this union. He lived his entire life in Clarke and Madison counties where he farmed. He was a member of the Methodist church.

Survivors include his wife, Zilpha of Truro; seven daughters, Eva Green of Hondo, Texas; Enid Honnold of Des Moines; Lillie Myers of Truro; Rebecca Hatfield of Van Wert; Rose Northway of New Virginia; Ramona Oberg of Bishop Hill, Illinois; and Patricia Carson of Osceola; five sons, Walter of Galva, Illinois; Ivan of Alpine, Wyoming; James of Riverside, Iowa; Ray Jr. of Peru, Iowa; and Robert of North Hollywood, California; 41 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Frank of Osceola, Harry of Franklin, Nebraska and Elmer of Murray; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, mother, two brothers, two sisters and three grandchildren.

Interment will be in Maple Hill cemetery, Osceola.
