Page 6, Column 3Jesse B. Mackey, son of Jesse C. and Amanda Mackey was born on April 4, 1876 in Clarke county, Iowa, and passed away at the home of his nephew, Glenn Mackey on August 24, 1943 at the age of 67 years, 4 months and 20 days.
Mr. Mackey had never married. He had worked on a farm most of his life until several years ago his health would not permit him to continue in such a strenuous labor. He lived in Clarke county all his life.
He leaves to mourn his going one sister, Mrs. Crist, a sister-in-law, Mrs. Ollie Clark; three nephews, Glenn Mackey, Leo Mackey and Lawrence Crist, seven nieces, Hazel Wilson, Mrs. Ethel Timms, Mrs. Twilla Sanders, Eva and Mabel Mackey, Mrs. Hazel Himmel and sister Marjorie.
Funeral services were conducted from the Webster Funeral Home August 26 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Miller officiating. Interment was in Young cemetery, Madison County, Iowa.
