Ida Mary Huffman, daughter of Thomas and Elizabeth Huffman, was born October 21, 1871 near Truro, Madison county, Iowa. She died August 21, 1956 at Denver, Colorado.

She was united in marriage to Harry R. Barnett and to this union two sons were born. Donald Huffman Barnett of Staten Island, N.Y., survives. Elmer preceded her in death when a child.

She lived in Iowa until 1903 when she moved to Denver. She later moved to Chicago, Ill., where she lived, until moving back to Denver in 1954. She was a member of the Third Congregational church and was active in the children’s department of the Sunday school for a period of 30 years.

Three brothers and one sister preceded her in death. She is survived by her son, Donald, assistant Director of Boy Scouting Service of America at New Brunswick, N.J.; a foster son, Dewey Suttles of Denver with whom she made her home, and one sister, Mrs. Allie Lee of Afton, Iowa.

Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. Warren Hile at the Webster Funeral home, Sunday, August 26, 1956. Burial was in the New Virginia cemetery.
