Page 1, Column 2Junius Richmond White was born December 9, 1855, in Randolph county, North Carolina, and died at Creston, Iowa, May 27, 1915.
In 1862 he moved with his parents to Tennessee where they lived for a short time, afterwards moving to Indiana where they lived for four years. In 1867 they came to Madison county, Iowa.
He was married December 28, 1881, to Miss Mary C. Hannelly of Ringgold county, Iowa, after which they made their home on their farm in Clarke county near Union church.
To this union were born three children, Royal D., who departed this life January 25, 1904, at the age of 21, John Guy and Fern Rose.
In 1907 the family moved to Creston, Iowa where they still reside.
The deceased leaves, besides his widow and two children, one sister and two brothers, Mrs. Mary Tyler of Mitchell, Nebr., John White of Prosser, Nebr., and D. A. White of Truro, Iowa.
The deceased was happily converted in a meeting that the writer held at Union church twenty-five years ago this fall and remained a faithful Christian until his death, and his last words to his wife and children and his two brothers who were at his bed side were, “I want you to meet me in heaven.”
The funeral was preached by the writer in Union church May 29th at 11 a.m. to a large congregation and the body laid to rest in the Union cemetery. ----Elijah Tillotson.
