Delia Jane Hogan, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Hogan, was born September 25, 1873, near Osceola, Iowa, and passed away at her home in Campbell, Minnesota, October 10, 1937, at the age of 64 years and 15 days.

On January 8, 1899, at St. Bernard’s church in Osceola, she was united in marriage to Thomas M. O’Leary, and they established their home six miles west of Osceola. Nine children were born to this union. The eldest daughter, Mary E. Bertram, passed away February 14, 1930. The surviving children are Mrs. William Ehlert of Rathdrum, Idaho, Richard of Campbell, Minn., Thomas of El Paso, Ill., Leonard of Pontiac, Mich., Mrs. Orville Edner of Campbell, Minn., Bernard of Spokane, Wash., and twins Laurence and Maurice of Campbell, Minn.

About 1915 the family moved to Madison county near Lorimor, Iowa, where they lived until March 1, 1923, at which time they moved to Breckenridge, Minnesota. Four years ago they moved to Campbell, Minn., where they have since resided. Mrs. O’Leary was a devoted wife and mother. Her piety, faith and exemplary Christian life proved an inspiration to her family and friends. She was a devout Catholic, an active member of the church and organizations as well as the civic and social groups of her home community, and by her sweet and generous nature endeared herself to all. Besides the husband and children mentioned above she is survived by eleven grandchildren, three brothers, four sisters and other relatives and a host of friends.

Funeral services were held Thursday, October 14, at St. Marys church in Breckenridge, Minn., conducted by Rev. Father Block of Tintah, Minn., assisted by the pastors of St. Marys church at Breckenridge and St. Johns of Wahpeton, North Dakota. She was laid to rest in St. Marys cemetery, Breckenridge, Minn.
