Elzira Lowe, daughter of John and Mary Lowe, was born in Fayette county, Pennsylvania, June 5, 1845, and died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. C. Rainthorpe, near Osceola, Iowa, at the age of sixty-six years, two months and fifteen days.

In 1854 she moved with her parents to Van Buren county, Iowa, where they lived two years, then moved to Madison county, where she grew to womanhood.

In 1860 she was united in marriage to Parker Williams who died November 19, 1902. To this union ten children were born, six boys and four girls. Will, Laura, and Addie have preceded their mother. She leaves to mourn her death five sons and two daughters, three sisters and three brothers, besides a host of friends.

She united with the Baptist church in 1856.

She was always a kind and loving mother.

The funeral services took place at 11 o’clock Tuesday morning at the Rainthorpe home, conducted by the Rev. L. B. Carpenter of Osceola. Interment at Prairie Grove cemetery.
