Mr. John Ellison McClintic died at his home in Murray Friday evening, February 21st at about 3 o’clock, aged 75 years, 8 months and 12 days. Funeral services were held at the home at 2 o’clock Sunday, February 23rd. The body was taken to the Peru cemetery for burial.
Uncle Mac, as he was known, came to Murray some twenty years ago from Madison county and he has made his home here ever since. He was a highly respected citizen and his loss will be felt by everyone.
Less than a year ago Mr. McCintic’s wife was laid to rest in the Peru cemetery. Mr. McClintic’s death cast a shadow of gloom over his wide circle of friends who extend to the sorrowing family the sincerest sympathy.
