They had seven children, Vernon the eldest, died at the age of six and George the youngest, died in infancy, Mrs. Ada Ayres, the only daughter, lives at Lorimor, Dyee Bowman resides at Cresbard, S. Mr. Bowman was converted in 1890. He attended a Methodist revival meeting at a church called Freedom in Hamilton county. He was under conviction and went to the barn to pray. He joined the Methodist Episcopal church and has remained a consistent member.

Mr. Bowman was known for his honesty and integrity and a kind disposition that speaks no harm of any one. He was a good citizen, a kind neighbor and affectionate husband and father. He will be greatly missed by his many friends.
