Claude Foreman, 83, of 1088 County Line Road died of a respiratory ailment Thursday at home. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Southtown Funeral Home. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Mr. Foreman was born in Winterset and had lived most of his life in Des Moines, where he was the former owner and operator of County Line Tap and a member of Southgate Masonic Lodge.

Among survivors are his wife, Sylvia, a daughter, Kathryn Woods, two sons, Raymond and Robert, a brother, Donald, and two sister, Faye Willis and Frances Green, all of Des Moines; nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

The family will greet friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Iowa.
