Wayne Emery Shearer, son of Lola and Emery Shearer was born on December 14, 1929 at their home in Madison County, near Macksburg and passed from this life at the Greater Community hospital in Creston Sept. 6th, 1930 at the age of 8 months and 22 days.
He leaves to mourn his departure his father and mother, little sister, Doris Jean; his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Goodridge, a number of uncles and aunts and other relatives.
The funeral services were conducted from the home of his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Goodridge of Lorimor on Monday morning at 10:00 o’clock by Rev. Edgar Thompson, assisted by Rev. Mrs. Wolfe and the little one laid to rest in the Lorimor cemetery.

Wayne Shearer, the 9 months old son of Mr. and Mrs. Emery Shearer, died at the Creston hospital Saturday. The infant was taken to the hospital Friday for treatment of burns received Wednesday when he spilled a pot of hot coffee.
