Gertie Adelphia Cornelison, daughter of Charles Osborn and Mary Evans Osborn, was born in Madison County, Iowa, on October 27, 1894, and completed the course of this life on December 9, 1969, at the Clarke County Public Hospital.

She received her education in Madison County. Gertie and Walter Cornelison were married on November 18, 1914. After their marriage they moved to Clarke County to reside and have lived in this area since that time. To them were born three children.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Velma Herman and brother Ersie. She is survived by her husband Walter; daughter, Helen Reynolds of Osceola, son Waldo of Wolcott, Iowa; daughter, Violet North of Osceola; twin brother Guy Osborn of Aitkin, Minnesota; brother, Fenner Osborn of Winterset, Iowa; sister Edna Lorentz of Salem, Oregon; 8 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and other relatives.

Funeral services were held Friday, December 12 at 2:00 p.m. with Webster Funeral Home in charge. Burial was in Murray Cemetery.
