Peter Lebo was born near Halifax, in Dauphin County, Pa., January 1, 1842. In 1868 he moved to Iowa, settling in Warren county. On the 12th day of February, 1871, he was married to Miss Mary A. Owens. Four children were born to them, three boys and one girl, one son dying in infancy. Two sons, Earl A. Lebo, of Des Moines and John Lebo, of Somerset, Pa., and one daughter, Mrs. Marion Conard, of Martensdale, Iowa survive him.

About 27 years ago he and his family moved to Madison County, Iowa, making their home near St. Charles.

Mr. Lebo passed away Monday morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Conard, aged 73 years and 10 months. Since his youth he was a devout Christian. He was a member of the Methodist church. He was always striving to make others happy. He expressed a readiness to go many times during his sickness.
