Jenett Kendall Cook was born December 29, 1873 in Madison County, Iowa, and died at her home southwest of Stuart, July 6, 1944. She was the daughter of John H. and Orinda Jane Kendall and was one of a family of eight children, all of whom preceded her in death except Mrs. Cora Frieberg of Anderson, Indiana.

She was married December 25, 1895, at Florida, Indiana, to George W. Cook, of Stuart. Following her marriage she moved to Stuart with her husband where she lived until the time of her passing.

Five children were born to this union, Glen, deceased, Ray, Lew, Anna and Dave. She leaves to mourn her passing Mr. Cook, her children, 12 grandchildren and many friends of her neighborhood. One. Son, Lt. Col. Dave J. Cook, who is in the service of his country, was unable to be present at the funeral services.

Funeral services were conducted from the Bufkin Funeral Home on Saturday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Russell Hanson, pastor of the Methodist church.

The casketbearers were: Arthur Whittum, Thomas A. O’Brien, Milo Gilman, Clyde Pote, J. C. Nevins and I. C. Percy.
